COMMERCIAL BANKING

MiFID

Countries

MiFID is a European directive that must be transposed into national legislation in order to take effect. All MiFID services offered by ING Commercial Banking are governed by the Conduct of Business rules of the country from which the services are offered, regardless of where you are resident or where the transaction is booked.

In addition, certain other MiFID requirements are subject to host state rules as well, which means local law applies. Again, for these requirements the law applies of the country where the MiFID service is offered. Please note that regulators may impose different requirements on cross-border MiFID services offered.

MiFID introduces a new client classification regime and distinguishes between three types of clients:

Depending on your client classification we refer you to the local country sections on this website to access the country-specific information. When clicking on the flag of your country, you will be provided with country-specific MiFID related documents based on your MiFID client classification.
