Introduction

Welcome on the website of ING Invoice Services. As of December 1st, Billington has become a organizational entity of ING Bank N.V. We will operate under the name of ING Invoice Services. Our proposition doesn’t change, it has just become a part of the product offering of ING.

ING is the only financial service provider in the Netherlands with a proposition in the field of electronic invoicing and the sending of digital value-related documents.

In many cases the invoice is the only paper process in the order-to-cash chain. Orders are generally placed electronically and payments are almost exclusively electronic. It has become increasingly apparent that the billing process is an inefficient link in the digitalisation of the chain.

ING Invoice Services provides a solution to this inefficiency and can help lighten the administrative burden of companies both large and small in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. The service is aimed at both business customers (B2B) and consumers (B2C). We offer products including the Digitale Nota (digital giro collection), Ingis (an e-invoicing portal) and Direct Biller solutions.

We offer a full range of electronic invoicing services for the business (B2B) and consumer (B2C) markets. We focus on the Digitale Nota, an electronic invoice delivered directly to the internet banking environment of the consumer. In addition we offer Ingis, an internet platform which organisations can use for the presentment of invoices to their clients. Larger companies generally use their own websites to do so; for small and medium-sized organisations we offer a solution in the form of an invoicing portal. We are also a reseller for AcceptEmail™, a system whereby a request for payment is sent by email to the customer's inbox and can be paid using iDEAL.

What sets ING apart from other players in the field is its unique approach to electronic invoicing: we look at it from a financial rather than a logistical perspective. To us an invoice is the start of a payment process, not a piece of paper or email that has to undergo a logistical process.
