(Senior) Application Manager
Location: Amsterdam (Amsterdamse Poort)
Job description
- Gather wishes and requirements from the business units and translate on a functional level for distribution to the application suppliers;
Assess the quality of the applications and implement new releases. Coordinate and supervise the functional acceptance tests and train users; - Responsible for analyzing and coordinating incidents, problems and change requests for the back and front-office applications within the service levels, as agreed with the business units. Continuous direct contact with the business units, suppliers and hosting parties in this respect;
- Lead small projects and participate in bigger projects.
Knowledge and skills
- Graduated at Bachelors or Masters level (in Dutch: HBO/Universitair); these degrees in business informatics, information services is a pro (in Dutch: Informatica, Bedrijfskundige Informatica).
- Knowledge of ITIL and ability to work within process guidelines;
- Communicates easily in English, in speech and in writing;
- Affinity with users spread over Europe and willingness to travel occasionally;
- Able to immerse into detail in business processes and application functionalities.

Main competences: Ability to work in a team environment, planning and organizing, problem analysis and solving, sound judgment and persuasiveness, service oriented.
Working hours
It is possible to exercise this position in 32, 36 or 40 hours a week.
Terms of employment
The position of (senior) application manager is classified in scales 8 / 9.
It is possible to start at a junior level, which is classified 1 scale lower.
In addition, it is possible to develop into the position of business analyst (scale 10).
